Ashleigh Noble had a goal and an assist in JBU's 2-1 double overtime win over USAO on Saturday.

Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 6, 2010) — JBU fell behind 1-0 after USAO’s Brittany Jay found Taylor Fain for the goal after she managed to sneak behind JBU’s defense. The scored remained in the Lady Drovers’ favor for most of the match, but with less than four minutes remaining in regulation, JBU’s Ashleigh Noble served a cross inside the box from 30 yards out that found senior Sarah Kidd, who finished with the header for the equalizer.

In the first overtime, JBU dominated time of possession, but couldn’t manage to put away any shot attempts and were forced into a second overtime period. JBU again controlled the possession in the second overtime, but couldn’t find any holes in the Lady Drover defense. But with two minutes left in the match, freshman Ashley Cochran dribbled up the right side and found Noble slashing through the box. Noble took the pass and blasted it past the keeper for the game winning goal. This was Noble’s first goal of the year.

JBU outshot USAO 15-4 with a 6-2 shots on goal advantage. Faith Thurman picked up a save for the Eagles.

USAO closes out their season at 10-7-1 overall.

Up next, JBU looks to face Mid-America Christian at home on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the SAC tournament semifinals.
