Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 6, 2010) - The JBU men’s basketball team improved to 4-0 with a 78-60 thrashing of Dallas Christian on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Coleson Rakestraw led all scorers with 17 points.
Rakestraw went 6-of-10 from the field including 5-of-8 from long range. Senior Ryland Allen added 15 and sophomore EJ McWoods finished with 11 points and eight assists.
For Dallas Christian, Antoine Warren tossed in 16 points.
JBU pulled away in the second half after leading 43-32 at halftime. For the game, the Eagles shot 49% (30-61) from the floor including 50% (15-30) from downtown. Meanwhile, the Crusaders shot 49% (23-47) from the floor. On the glass, JBU dominated with a 40-20 advantage.
The Eagles are back in action on the road on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against Central Baptist in Conway, Arkansas.
