Conway, Ark. (November 9, 2010) — In their first road game of the year, the 24th-ranked JBU men’s basketball team remained perfect at 5-0 after defeating Central Baptist (Ark.) 64-56 on Tuesday night in Conway.

Coleson Rakestraw had 13 points to lead JBU, followed by Adrian Miller with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Tommy Williams put up 13 points to lead the CBC (1-2).

After holding a 31-27 halftime lead, the Eagles went ahead by as many as ten in the second half before the Mustangs made it a five point game with less than three minutes remaining. JBU was able hang on for the win after converting from the foul line down the stretch.

For the game, JBU shot 46% (25-55) from the floor, while giving up only 36% (20-55) to CBC.

The men will face CBC again this Saturday when the Mustangs come to Siloam Springs for a 3 p.m. tilt.
