Benjamin Netanyahu to Speak at SCBLE Seminar

Siloam Springs, Ark (March 14, 2001) — The Donald G. Soderquist Center for Business Leadership and Ethics is pleased to announce "An Afternoon with Benjamin Netanyahu," a seminar for a select group of senior executive leaders. Mr. Netanyahu will explore issues of ethical leadership in the global economy as well as the personal costs and rewards of value-driven leadership.

Mr. Netanyahu, also known to his constituents as Bibi, served as Israel’s Prime Minister from 1996 until 1999. The leadership Netanyahu provided in his coalition government emphasized the importance of national security for the Israeli people. Today he remains deeply committed to resolving the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. In addition, he enjoys speaking to business communities and university campuses throughout the U.S. on issues related to leadership and ethics.

"My message is simple, that being in a position of leadership does not necessarily make one a leader. Being a leader means having convictions, values and a vision. But more importantly, being willing to stand up for those values and convictions, regardless of the personal cost involved." - Benjamin Netanyahu

“We are delighted that Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted our invitation to come to Northwest Arkansas and share his strong belief and commitment to ethical leadership.” Don Soderquist, former Senior Vice Chairman, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
