John Brown University’s women’s soccer team beat Northwestern Oklahoma State 1-0 at Alumni Field Tuesday afternoon bringing their record to 4-6-1 and 2-3 in conference play.
Senior defender Cam Martin scored the unassisted, lone goal for JBU in the 26th minute of the game. The Lady Eagles’ stingy defense along with Faith Thurman and her three saves kept the Lady Rangers off the board for the entire game, allowing JBU to take the win.
The Lady Eagles outshot the Lady Rangers 18-8 with a 7-3 shots on goal advantage.
JBU women’s soccer team will be back in action on the road Saturday, October 15 at 5 p.m. against conference opponent Oklahoma Christian.
