Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 22, 2011) — Bentonville High School volleyball player Melissa Bakke has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at JBU next year.

Bakke is a 6-0 outside hitter/middle hitter who helped guide the Lady Tigers to back to back state titles in 2010 and 2011.  During her high school career, she’s been an Arkansas Top 25 selection and an all-conference selection.  She’s also earned numerous accolades during her club career with Ozark Volleyball club.

“We are very excited about Melissa,” said head volleyball coach Stacie Johnson.  “I have watched her play in several tournaments and hand-picked her because of her competitiveness and coachability.”
