Wal-Mart meets November forecasts

(December 4, 2003) — (Bentonville-AP) -- Wal-Mart Stores Incorporated, the world's largest retailer, says its sales for November were up eleven-point-two percent over the same period last year. Wal-Mart says today that sales at U-S stores open at least a year rose three-point-nine percent for the month; last year the increase was two-point-six percent. The company had forecast November same-store sales to increase between three percent and five percent. The company has the same forecast for sales in December.
