SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (October 6, 2012) — A three-goal first half powered No. 5 Science and Arts (Okla.) to a convincing 3-0 victory over the Golden Eagles this afternoon at Alumni Field.

The Drovers (9-0-2, 3-0-0 SAC) controlled much of the offense today, outshooting John Brown 25-8, posting double-digit shots in each half.

USOA received all the goals it would need in the first half, netting markers in the 21st, 27th and 38th minutes.

"This seems to be repetitive, but a lackluster first half cost us the game," head coach John Miglarese said. "We had a week to prepare for a strong team, and I have to shoulder some of the blame. That being said, I'm proud of the way we battled in the second half despite the score."

Pablo Garcia played a strong match in net for JBU, collecting 11 saves on 14 opportunities. Both Zari Prescod and Eli Simonsen notched two shots on goal each to pace the Golden Eagle offense.

JBU (4-4-1, 0-2-0 SAC) has suffered difficulties of late scoring the season as today's loss is the fourth time in five matches the offense hasn't been able to find the back of the net.

The Golden Eagles will now hit the road as it will play two matches in Texas against Wayland Baptist and Lubbock Christian. John Brown will face the Pioneers on Thursday (Oct. 11) with a kick off slated for 7:00 p.m.
