Golden Eagles Fall 3-0 at OCU in Regular Season Finale

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (November 3, 2012) — John Brown suffered a 3-0 (19-25, 19-25, 22-25) loss this evening to Oklahoma City. The defeat cements JBU's position in the No. 5 slot entering the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament.

The OCU defense posted a strong performance today, holding John Brown to a .080 attack percentage while posting a .231 hitting percentage of its own. The Stars out-blocked the visitors (10-9) and forced JBU to commit 22 attack errors in the match.

For the second consecutive match, freshman Audrey Dearien paved the way offensively for John Brown, posting a team-high 12 kills (.320 attack percentage). However, no other Golden Eagle was able to eclipse the five-kill mark.

Staci Williamson and Becca Young teamed up for 22 digs (11 each) while setter Kailey Bain turned in a 17-assist performance.

With the loss, John Brown finishes the regular season at 21-15 overall and 3-9 in conference play.
