JBU Men Move to 6-1

Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 20, 2001) — The John Brown University men's basketball team cruised to a 102-63 victory over Messenger College to move to 6-1 on the season. The Golden Eagles were able to get a lot of their new and younger players some important experience versus the Eagles of Messenger.

JBU had three players post double doubles led by freshman Reyjavick De Gracia with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Trey Fisher added 21 points for the Golden Eagles. Messenger hit 10 of 33 three pointers and were led by David Argo with 22 points.

After last night's thrilling overtime victory over Park University, JBU was able to get some much needed rest for the normal starters going into a huge road test against NCAA Division II no. 5 ranked Northeastern Oklahoma State University on next Tuesday night in Tahlequah.
