Sheriff: 70 percent chance fugitives are still here

(March 30, 2004) — (Little Rock-AP) -- Van Buren County Sheriff Scott Bradley says he thinks there's a 70 percent chance two fugitives are hiding in the Ozark Mountains where officers have searched for them since March 22nd. Three officers remain in Alread -- two at a command station and one at the school, which opened yesterday. Forty-nine-year-old Mark Holsombach and 28-year-old William Frazier are still at large after a shootout with police at the men's homemade log cabin near Alread. Police initially wanted the men for questioning in the disappearance of their neighbors. Police have described Holsombach and Frazier as dangerous and possibly armed. One of Holsombach's ex-wives said after she separated from him, she didn't want anything to do with him.
