Standoff suspects plead

(April 21, 2004) — (Clinton-AP) -- Three people facing charges related to the shooting of a state trooper in Van Buren County have pleaded innocent. After the shooting, police searched for nearly two weeks before catching the suspects. Mark Holsombach and William Frazier pleaded innocent to attempted murder, and Anne Throneberry pleaded innocent to hindering prosecution. They were in court yesterday at Clinton. The charges stem from the shooting of trooper Charlie Edmonson, who was wounded March 22nd when he was helping serve warrants on the two men at their cabin near Alread. The three defendants also are suspects in the presumed death of Throneberry's husband, Ted Throneberry. Investigators believe charred remains found on the Throneberry property are his.
