Richardson back on stand
(May 24, 2004) — (Little Rock-AP) -- Nolan Richardson is expected to continue testifying today in his discrimination lawsuit against the University of Arkansas. Richardson took the stand on Friday, saying he once threatened to sue the school because he thought athletic director Frank Broyles was shortchanging him in business dealings. Arkansas fired Richardson March first 2002, saying the coach showed a lack of faith in his program by remarking publicly that the school could buy out his contract. Richardson said the school fired him because he is black and outspoken.
