(July 2, 2004) - (Little Rock-AP) -- The state Highway Department says that starting today 15 miles of interstates will be reduced to one lane for construction over the holiday weekend. The department said that's significantly less than in previous years. Last year 24 miles were narrowed and in 2002 70 miles were narrowed. This year closures will be on Interstate 540 north of Alma, on Interstate 30 near Malvern and on Interstate 40, east of Ozark, east of Clarksville and east of Forrest City.
