Siloam Springs, Ark. (August 31, 2004) - The John Brown University Women’s volleyball team continued their undefeated streak against Southwest Baptist University on Tuesday, August 31, 2004. JBU won in three games, 30-24, 30-15, 35-33. Although the Golden Eagles won in three games, the match was competitive. Once again, the deciding factor for the Golden Eagles was their powerful, well placed serves. The team served a total of 7 aces which helped them diminish the threat of SBU’s offense. The Golden Eagles blocked very well, totaling 10 blocks for the night. Team leaders included Tati Silva with 17 kills, Meghann Wharton with 3 aces and 4 blocks, Elisa Evans with 4 blocks, Juliana Todescan with 4 blocks and 41 assists, and Christine Wells with 18 digs. JBU travels to the College of the Ozarks Invitational in Branson, MO this weekend to play Bethel College, Tabor College, and Huston-Tillotson College on Friday. Saturday match-ups include Texas Wesleyan and Southwest Assemblies of God.
