JBU Suffers First Loss in a Hard Fought Game

Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 18, 2004) — In the second day of the 22nd Annual JBU Fall Classic the University of Mobile defeated John Brown. In the first eight minutes of the game junior Kyle Carter scored and was assisted by Daniel Fleming. Finishing off the first half the score was tied. In the second half the University of Mobile made a goal to make the score 2-1. The Golden Eagles fought hard but were unable to tie up the game. Goal Keeper Pablo Fernandez had 9 saves in this game. The Eagles record is now 6-1.

In the earlier game the University of Illinois at Springfield played Oklahoma City University. University of Illinois-Springfield won 2-1 in overtime.

The Golden Eagle’s next game will be on Tuesday, September 21st at home against William Woods University.
