JBU Presents Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta

Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 5, 2004) — JBU students will present Gilbert & Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, a comic court operetta set in 1890. Performances will be held at 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12 and Saturday, Nov. 13 in John Brown University’s Jones Recital Hall. The event is open to the public. Trial by Jury’s plot revolves around Edwin, who, tiring of his fiancée Angelina, falls in love with another. Angelina hails him to court for breach of promise. Leading roles are played by senior baritone Jon Sauceda as the Learned Judge, junior soprano Liesl Mindeman as Angelina, and sophomore tenor Jake Funk as Edwin.
