JBU Soccer Signs Texas Defender

Siloam Springs, Ark. (March 7, 2005) — John Brown University men’s soccer coach Bob Gustavson announced the signing of 5’10” defender Andrew Hardin from Southlake, Texas. He serves as a team captain for Carroll Senior High School’s soccer team where he has lettered three years. He is also a member of the Dallas Texans club soccer team, where Hardin has enjoyed much success. The Texans were Dallas Classic League Division I Grand Champions, Dallas Cup Semi-Finalist, ODP Regional Champions and ODP National Semi-Finalists. Hardin was also selected to the International Youth Olympic U.S. under-17 soccer team.

Coach Gustavson commented on the signing of Hardin saying, “I’m extremely excited to have a player of Andrew’s caliber join our program. He has played on one of the premier club teams in the country and brings a lot of high level playing experience with him. Andrew is a skillful and smart player who will help us as an outside defender. He is a great person and an outstanding student who will be successful at everything he does.”

Andrew is the son of Roger and Anne Hardin of Southlake, Texas.
