Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 11, 2005) - The John Brown Golden Eagles’ 12-match win streak ended Tuesday night in a 3-1 loss to conference opponent Southern Nazarene (Okla.). Samantha Rogoff led the Golden Eagles with 17 kills, and Tati Silva followed with 15. Summer Cox and Elisa Mendieta also had 12 apiece. Juliana Todescan contributed 56 assists, and Christine Wells recorded 20 digs and 3 aces. Mendieta also added 5 blocks. For the Crimson Storm, Michelle Pape and Taryn Williams each scored 16 kills, and the team as a whole had 18 blocks.
John Brown won the first game 30-20, but a late rally by SNU in Game Two gave them a 31-29 victory and swung the match’s momentum permanently in their favor. The Crimson Storm (17-10, 5-2) won the final two games 30-26 and 30-19.
