Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 11, 2006) - Princess Kasune Zulu, an AIDS/HIV awareness advocate, will speak to students, faculty and staff at John Brown University tomorrow morning.
Zulu may not be a princess by title or royal blood line, but she is a passionate AIDS advocate. Since her HIV positive diagnosis in 1997, she has been educating others about AIDS/HIV throughout her home country of Zambia and all over the world. She became a spokesperson and AIDS educator for World Vision’s Hope Initiative, a program started to encourage Christians and the general public to help in the fight against AIDS and HIV. Through her advocacy, she was able to meet with U.S. President George Bush in April 2006 to push for the U.S. to pledge $15 million to help in the fight against AIDS.
