WOMEN FALL TO C OF O AT HOME

Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 26, 2006) — John Brown University volleyball lost 3-2 against College of the Ozarks at home on Tuesday night. It was an intense match all the way to the finish, but John Brown was unable to hold on for the victory.

John Brown took the first game 30-24, but C of O fought back winning the second and third games 30-27, 30-25. Facing defeat in the fourth game, John Brown pulled it together and forced a fifth game winning 30-27. Both teams exchanged points in the fifth until C of O was able to force several errors and claim the match with a 16-14 final score in the fifth.

Sam Rogoff led the team with 16 kills and four blocks. Juliana Todescan had 61 assists, four aces, and six blocks, and Kaylie Porter and Aubrey Junker both had 21 digs.

Up next, John Brown (9-12, 2-0) travels to Springfield, Mo. on Thursday to face Evangel.
