TODESCAN NEW CAREER ASSIST LEADER AT JBU

Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 28, 2006) — Senior Juliana Todescan has broken and is continuing to add to her new career assist record at John Brown University. In only her third year as a Golden Eagle, Todescan broke the old record of 4,182 assists set by Michelle Manes in 2002, last weekend during the Region VI Challenge in Lubbock, Texas.

The record breaking assist came during their first match of the weekend against Lubbock Christian, and with already two games under her belt this week Todescan has increased the record to 4,449 assists. John Brown has at least 15 games remaining this season, and Todescan will look to etch her name high atop the list of best setters in school history.

Head coach Robyn Gordon is proud of Juliana’s success and knows how important she is to John Brown volleyball. “Ju has been and continues to be a key ingredient to the success of JBU Volleyball. She is a tremendous setter and has a great feel for the court. She knows her hitters and works hard to make them successful."

Brazilian native Todescan, who transferred to John Brown as a sophomore, is double majoring in psychology and Spanish.
