Soccer Teams Fall to Oklahoma Christian
Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 24, 2006) — On a chilly night in Oklahoma City, men's and women's soccer both fell on the road against conference opponent Oklahoma Christian. The women lost 2-0 and the men lost 1-0.
In the men's match, defense ruled the night as both teams held each other scoreless until the 82nd minute when Brady Nikkel scored on an assist from Jason Frei and gave Oklahoma Christian the 1-0 decider. Spencer Watson had five saves for the Golden Eagles.
In women's action, John Brown gave up two goals. The first came in the 45th minute and the second in the 84th. Megan Rouse had seven saves for the Golden Eagles.
Both teams return home to face St. Gregory's this Saturday. The women play and 1:00 and the men at 3:00.
