Men Outgunned by Crimson Storm

Siloam Springs, Ark. (January 25, 2007) — John Brown was unable to overcome a five point half time deficit and ended up falling 82-70 to #7 Southern Nazarene (Okla.) on the road.

Although both teams shot the ball well from the floor, it was Southern Nazarene (15-3, 5-1) that shot an incredible 76 percent in the second half (16-21) and 60 percent (31-52) for the game. Leroy Dawson led SNU with 22 points and nine rebounds.

John Brown (11-7, 2-4) did manage to win the rebounding battle 30-20, but struggled taking care of the ball in key moments committing 20 turnovers for the game.

Leading scorer for JBU was Adam Workman with 17 points, while Joel Tesis, who battled foul trouble the entire game, ended up fouling out with 13 points and four rebounds.

John Brown returns home to face Oklahoma Christian (10-7, 4-3) on Saturday at 8 p.m.
