Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 3, 2007) - John Brown’s women basketball struggled finding their shooting groove on Saturday night, and fell 62-51 against Science and Arts of Okla. Sha’Donna Stewart paced USAO with 20 points and eight rebounds. Nancy Pierre led JBU with 12 points and 10 boards.
John Brown (6-15, 3-7) shot 24 percent for the game including 23 percent from downtown. Meanwhile, the Lady Drovers shot 48 percent including 47 percent from beyond the arc. Both teams battled for rebounds, but USAO came out on top 39-38. JBU, however, did manage to take care of the ball by only committing 13 turnovers to 23 from USAO.
The Lady Golden Eagles look to rebound from the loss when the travel to Shawnee, Okla. to face Oklahoma Baptist on Monday at 6 p.m.
