Local Soccer Star Commits to John Brown

Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 28, 2007) — Zachary McGee, a 5-8 defender from Rogers High School, has committed to the John Brown men’s soccer program for the 2007 season.

McGee, who has been a four year varsity starter at Rogers High, was an All-State selection in 2004, and was awarded multiple Defensive Player of the Year and Hustle Player of the Year awards for high school between 2004-2006. McGee has also been the captain of his club team, the Westside Capitals (North Little Rock), for three straight years. Throughout his high school career, he has also managed to maintain a 3.0 grade point average.

Bob Gustavson, JBU head men’s soccer coach, says he’s very fortunate to have McGee join the program. “Zach is a hard worker with excellent speed and skill, and his style of play is a perfect match for us,” stated Gustavson.
