Men's Tennis Loses Close Match

Siloam Springs, Ark. (March 8, 2007) — John Brown University men's tennis fell 4-5 on the road against Southwestern College (Kan.) on Wednesday afternoon.

John Brown's Austin Phillips and Peter Thulson won in double's action by a score of 8-2, while Tim Meyer and Jamin Schweiger also won their doubles match 8-6.

Phillips and Thulson also brought home wins in single's action winning 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0 in their respective matches.

John Brown is 0-6 overall and 0-1 in SAC play. The men return to action this weekend when they travel to Shawnee, Okla. to face SAC opponent Okla. Baptist at 11:00 a.m.
