Volleyball Knocks Out St. Gregs
Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 16, 2007) — John Brown University women’s volleyball made quick work of St. Gregory’s (Okla.) on Tuesday night at Murray Sells winning in three games (30-7, 30-16, 30-10). John Brown jumped out to an early lead in the first game and never looked behind the rest of the way. The win moves John Brown to 13-12 overall and 5-2 in SAC play. For the match, Laurae Marty and Christi Newton both had 13 kills. Marty also collected three blocks and Newton four. Britney Kerns picked up 25 assists and Alyssa Hanson had 20. Defensively, Aubrey Junker worked her way to 10 digs. John Brown will take the remainder of the week off and return to the court next Tuesday, Oct. 23 at home against College of the Ozarks.
