Swimmers Qualifiy for Nationals in Young Season
Siloam Springs, Ark. (November 7, 2007) — Over the weekend, the John Brown women’s swim team opened the year at the Hendrix Classic (Conway, Ark.). Although the season is very young, several relay teams have already set qualifying times for the national swim meet taking place Feb. 27-Mar. 1in San Antonio.

Head coach Shawn Toenyes is proud of the way his team handled the competition. “We were the second smallest team out there,” said Toenyes. “But our girls didn’t let that bother them. They just went out there and swam.”
JBU returns to competition this upcoming weekend when they travel to Henderson State (Ark.) to compete in the Henderson Invitational taking place on Friday and Saturday. Toenyes said that he’s expecting one or two girls to qualify in individual events at the two-day event.
