Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 14, 2008) - JBU fell 68-47 to a tough No. 15 Southern Nazarene team on Thursday night in Murray Sells Gymnasium. The loss drops the women to 7-17 overall and 2-14 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
JBU dug a hole in the first half after going into the half down 42-17. SNU (20-4, 14-3) opened the game on an 11-0 run before JBU got on the board. JBU made a run at the 13:00 minute mark after Lenece Glossett nailed a pair of three pointers to cut it to 11-6. SNU, however, regained control and momentum and closed out the half ahead 25.
The second half was much the same as the first as Lady Crimson Storm cruised to a 21 point win.
Sophomore forward Lenece Glossett led JBU with 14 points after going 4-of-5 from downtown. Micaela Cully added 10.
SNU had a balanced scoring attack with three players reaching double digits led by Rachel Balzer and Ashley Jackson with 11 points each and Kinzie Glover with 10 points to go along with nine boards.
JBU shot 33% (16-48) for the game, while SNU managed to knock down 50% (25-50) of their shots. SNU also cleaned the glass grabbing 39 rebounds to only 23 from JBU.
