Women’s Soccer Signs Mississippi Standout
Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 17, 2007) — Kathryn Rehner, a 5-9 center midfielder from Petal (Miss.) High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play women’s soccer for JBU in the fall. During her career at Petal High, the 5-9 Rehner was a four-time team most valuable player and four-time 5A first-team all-district selection. She was also named to the Mississippi All-Star High School Team after her senior season. “I am extremely pleased to have Kathryn join our team next year,” said head coach Joe Thoma. “She is a tough, hard working player with very good distribution skills, and I know she will add to the quality of our team both on and off the field.”
In addition to her high school accolades, Rehner also played club soccer for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) United and was also in the Mississippi Olympic Development program from 2001-2007.
