Siloam Springs, Ark. (January 5, 2009) — Over 150 canned goods were donated to the Siloam Springs Manna Center on Monday morning after JBU held its third annual Community Day this past weekend. On Saturday, Jan. 3, the Golden Eagles hosted Oklahoma Christian in both women’s and men’s basketball. And fans and community members were allowed free access to the games after donating canned goods at the entrance.

“We appreciate the support of the Siloam Springs community to come out and cheer on the Golden Eagles,” said JBU Athletics Director Robyn Daugherty. “Without your support, our stands would have been empty! Our students will not arrive back until January 14th!”

“We are also thankful for what the Manna Center provides to our community and we use the annual Community Day to help stock their shelves,” added Daugherty. “It’s a privilege to be able to support this great organization.”
