Leadership Week Brings Hollywood to JBU

Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 10, 2009) — John Brown University and The Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics is pleased to welcome Micheal Flaherty, Co-founder and president of Walden Media and Bill Ewing, President of Every Tribe Entertainment for Leadership Week February 17-19, 2009. Leadership week is an annual event hosted by the Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics for the JBU community. Flaherty and Ewing are two key figures in the film industry and have some unique insights into the world of leadership in Hollywood. The week will begin with Flaherty speaking in chapel on Tuesday, February 17, at 10:30 a.m. Flaherty’s company, Walden Media, has produced movies such as The Chronicles of Narnia, Amazing Grace, Holes, Around the World in 80 Days, and most recently Prince Caspian. On Thursday, February 19, Ewing will speak in chapel about his involvement in movies such as The End of the Spear and a League of Their Own. Both speakers will visit classes and speak to a variety of audiences on campus throughout the week.
