Siloam Springs, Ark. (February 13, 2009) — John Brown University women’s basketball player Ashley Taylor (Bergman, Ark.) has set a new JBU record for free-throws made in a single season after going 9-of-10 from the foul line against Science & Arts of Okla. on Thursday night in Sooner Athletic Conference Action.

Taylor tied Lisa Hunt’s 1984-85 record of 131 made free-throws at the 9:02 mark in the second half after sinking the back end of two from the charity stripe. With 3:53 left in the contest, Taylor surpassed Hunt’s record after canning two more to bring the current record to 133 and counting.
