Tiphani Eaves delivered the lead, 46-43, with 8:06 left on a three-pointer as John Brown turned the ball over on four consecutive possessions.

Nathalia Araujo made a strong move to the basket to give MACU a 56-52 lead. JBU’s Ashley Taylor answered with a free throw, followed by a steal that got her back to the free throw line where she cut the MACU lead to 56-54.
Trindade added a pair of free throws for a 58-54 lead with 1:58 left. Another free throw by Taylor made it 58-55.
Cully scored with 14 seconds left to make it a one-point game. April Hale went to the line with 13 seconds left and made one of two. Taylor missed a well-contested shot inside and MACU held on for the 61-57 upset.
