Tennis Splits on the road

Siloam Springs, Ark. (March 9, 2009) — The John Brown University men's and women's tennis teams split against Tabor (Kan.) over the weekend. The men fell 4-5, but the women won 5-4.

Emily Caneday, Amanda Keenan, Christine Hendee, and Margo Smith each won in single's action. And Caneday and Phillips took care of business in double's action.

On the men's side, Peter Thulson and Austin Phillips won their double's match 8-6, followed by Brad Herman and Eric Engstrom picking up the 8-5 win in their match.

Tim Meyer took home a win in singles action, while Phillips won his singles match 6-2, 6-2.

Up next, the women return to play at home on Mar. 10 against Southwestern (Kan.), and the men return to action on the road on Mar. 12 against Southwestern (Kan.).
