Siloam Springs, Ark. (May 14, 2009) — Zach Hersha, a 6-10 center from Concord High School in Michigan, has signed a national letter of intent to play men’s basketball for JBU next season.

As a senior, Hersha led the Concord Yellow Jackets to the Big 8 Championship and was named conference MVP. He also made the Class C “BCAM’s Best” and Citizen Patriot C/D all-area team while leading the Jackets in scoring (13.4), rebounding (11.9), and block shots (5.0). Hersha also set school records for block shots in a game (14), season (104), and career (231).

“We are excited about adding Zach to our program,” said head men’s basketball coach Clark Sheehy. “He brings a lot of potential and we love his upside. His parents are JBU alumni so we are very glad to have him on our team.”
