Page in Germany
Siloam Springs, Ark. (August 24, 2009) — Former JBU sharpshooter Cody Page has signed a professional contract to play for WF Spandau 04 in Berlin, Germany.
Page played four years for the Golden Eagles and was a three-time All-Sooner Athletic Conference selection, which included SAC Freshman of the Year honors after his first season.
Page is currently 14th on the JBU career scoring list with 1,232 points and is third overall in career three pointers made with 274.
Page stated that he is happy for the opportunity and wants to continue improving.
“I know that every year this club is a contender for the league championship, and we have a lot of experienced players that know how to win,” said Page. “As for me, I’m hoping to come out and play strong the first few weeks of the season and see if I can start moving up divisions in the next couple of months.”
JBU head men’s basketball coach Clark Sheehy added that he’s excited for Page and hopes he does well.
“I’m thrilled that he has a chance to continue playing,” said Sheehy. “I know it’s been a goal of his and I’m excited that he has the opportunity to pursue that.”
WF Spandau04 competes in the lowest division in Germany and plays against other small clubs from around the city of Berlin.
