Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 5, 2009) - It was all business on the JBU sidelines on Saturday afternoon as the Golden Eagles dismantled Williams Baptist (Ark.) 10-0 in their third match of the year. With the win, JBU moves to 3-0.
Williams Baptist was no match for the JBU men. After a strong first twenty minutes, things began falling apart for WBU. Over the course of the next twelve minutes, JBU tallied six goals led by junior forward Juan Iraola's hat trick in the first half.
In the second half, JBU's Coach Miglarese started his second string, but JBU continued to ride the wave of success by posting five more goals in the second period.
"The guys worked hard," said Miglarese. "The first ten-fifteen minutes we couldn't get our first goal and then we broke their backs. It was a nice win, but we have our work cut out for us this next week."
Coming up, JBU travels to Tahlequah, Okla. to face Northeastern State on Wednesday at 4 p.m.. They return home to host the 27th Annual JBU Fall Classic on Sept. 11-12. On Friday, the men take on Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) at 3 p.m., and on Saturday, they play Illinois Institute of Technology at 3 p.m.
