Women's Soccers falls to Pirates

Parkville, Mo. (September 12, 2009) — The JBU women’s soccer team fell to 1-3 on the year after losing to No. 15 Park (Mo.) 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Park (3-0) struck first in the 13th minute when Shea Brazill and Nori Gedei combined for the assist to Natalie Parker for the 1-0 advantage.

For the remainder of the half, JBU was held scoreless giving Park the one-point advantage heading into halftime.

A final goal in the 88th minute gave Park the cushion they needed to take home the 2-0 win.

Park outshot JBU 9-8 with a 4-2 advantage in shots-on-goal.

JBU keepers, junior Brittany Henderson and freshman Faith Thurman, split duties on the day, and each picked up a save.

Up next, the JBU women return home to face Northwood (Texas) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
