Siloam Springs Mayor Declares KLRC Day

Siloam Springs, Ark (October 11, 2000) — In honor of KLRC's positive impact on the community and the grand opening of the station's live webcast, the Mayor of Siloam Springs, M. L. Van Poucke, will declare Saturday, October 14 as "KLRC DAY" in Siloam Springs.

The declaration will be read at 11 a.m. in front of the KLRC studios on the campus of John Brown University. The station will be hosting an open house from 11 a.m.- 2p.m. All listeners are invited to come tour the studios and meet the announcing staff.

KLRC's special event is one of the many activities that will be occurring on the JBU campus this weekend. John Brown University is hosting Homecoming 2000, "A Firm Foundation" , Oct. 13-14. Visit KLRC's website at www.klrc.com.

John Brown University is a private university with an enrollment of over 1,500 students from 46 states and 30 countries. JBU is a member of the Arkansas Independent Colleges and Universities as well as the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
