Men fall to Stars

Oklahoma City (October 10, 2009) — The JBU men's soccer team gave up a 3-0 decision to No. 14 Oklahoma City University on Saturday afternoon at Stars Field. The loss drops JBU to 7-5 overall an 2-2 in the SAC.

Both teams held each other scoreless in the first period, but OCU (10-1-1, 3-0) came alive in the second half and score three to down the Golden Eagles.

Alex Gang scored in the 74th off the assist from Luke Harvey. And a minute later OCU went up by two after a Ryan Hunter goal off the put back.

Gang scored his second of the game in the closing seconds.

OCU outshot John Brown 22-8 in the game, including a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal.

The Golden Eagles return home on Wednesday to face Rogers State (Okla.) at 3 p.m. on Alumni Field. RSU sits at 11-2 overall and 3-1 in the SAC.
