Netters upended by No. 19 LCU

Siloam Springs, Ark. (October 30, 2009) — The JBU women’s team gave a valiant effort against No. 19 Lubbock Christian (Texas) on Friday night in Murray Sells but came up short falling 3-1 (13-25, 25-18, 20-25, 23-25) in the end. The loss drops JBU to 21-9 overall and 5-5 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Three JBU players earned double digit kills led by Amber Wilson and Erin Didier with 13 a piece. Kirsten Lee added 12. Alyssa Hanson totaled 29 assists and Britney Kerns had 15.

Defensively, Shannon Proctor collected 29 digs and Didier had 14. Wilson posted six blocks.

Kelsey Odell led the Lady Chaps with 14 kills and Elissa Loynes added 12.

As a team, JBU had a hitting percentage of .158 while LCU (21-4, 10-0) hit .168 % for the match.

The ladies continue conference play on Saturday against Wayland Baptist at 1 p.m. in Murray Sells.
