Shawnee, Okla. (February 12, 2010) — The JBU men’s basketball team extended their win streak to four games on Thursday night after knocking off St. Gregory’s (Okla.) 72-54 in Sooner Athletic Conference action.

The men improved to 18-7 overall and 10-7 in conference play with the win.

Senior Davaughn Jackson topped all scorers with 17 points and five boards. Sam Bartlett and Abel Galliguez both added 12.

Fayzon Richey led SGU (6-15, 1-15) with 13 points.

JBU completely took control of the game in the first half and led 44-25 by intermission. In the second half, the Golden Eagles put the game away early and allowed everyone to see playing time on the night.

JBU shot 49% for the game while limiting SGU to 27%. The Eagles also out rebounded the Cavs 47-34.

Up next for JBU is No. 2 Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday at 8 p.m. in Murray Sells.
