Tulsa, Okla. (August 17, 2010) — In their first action of the fall, the JBU women’s soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to NCAA Division I opponent University of Tulsa on Monday night.

Tulsa held a 2-0 lead after the first half off of goals from freshman Kelsey Killion in the 14th minute and sophomore Rachel Garcia in the 40th. Killion struck again in the 54th minute for the 3-0 cushion, and freshman Miranda Zoller added a fourth in the 70th.

TU out-shot JBU, 22-4, including a 14-2 advantage in shots-on-goal. Seniors Ashleigh Noble and Robyn Cluka had the two shots-on-goal attempts for JBU. Sophomore Faith Thurman and freshman Alysan Burgbacher split time in goal recording seven and three saves respectively.

JBU begins regular season play on the road against Northwood (Texas) on Tuesday, August 31 at 2 p.m.
