Mount Vernon, Ohio (September 10, 2010) — The JBU women’s soccer team was back in action on Friday afternoon and came away with a 2-1 win over Mt. Vernon Nazarene (Ohio).

JBU fell behind by one after MVNU (2-1) scored off a tap in at the 24:38 mark.

Five minutes later, senior Jodi Knock scored the equalizer when she headed in a cross off the corner from fellow senior Camille Malkiewicz.

In the second half, both teams went back and forth, but in the 67th minute senior Sarah Kidd broke free and put in a loose ball for the 2-1 lead. A late save by sophomore keeper Faith Thurman helped JBU preserve the win and look ahead to tomorrow’s matchup against Cincinnati Christian. Game time is 1 p.m. (EST).
