Siloam Springs, Ark. (September 14, 2010) — The JBU netters opened their conference season with a 3-2 (25-17, 25-13, 17-25, 22-25, 15-8) win over Mid-America Christian (Okla.) on Tuesday night in the first match to be played in JBU’s newly opened Bill George Arena.

In front of a packed house, the Eagles quickly put away MACU (6-8) in the first two sets. But MACU fought back and claimed sets three and four.

Individually, sophomore Erin Didier led the team with 17 kills followed by senior Kirsten Lee with 13. Senior Alyssa Hanson had 25 assists and sophomore Aubrey Adams added 15. Didier also picked up two aces.

Defensively, junior Sarah Jordan tallied 19 digs and junior Megan Tabor had 13. Junior Allie Rankin led the team with three blocks.

Up next, the ladies travel to Shawnee, Okla. to compete in the Oklahoma Baptist Bison Blast on Friday and Saturday.
