Basketball Signs Mississippi Product
Siloam Springs, Ark. (April 29, 2011) — Chris Brooks, a 6-4 forward from Tupelo, Miss., has signed a national letter of intent to play men’s basketball at John Brown University next year.
Brooks was a three-year starter for Tupelo High School, and during his senior season his team finished 28-4, which included winning the Class 6A District 2 regular season and tournament titles. He also guided his team to the State North Half Semi Finals.
“We are excited to add Chris to the program and looking forward to the fall,” said JBU head men’s basketball coach Clark Sheehy. “He comes from a really good high school program and has been really successful throughout his career.”
As a senior, Brooks averaged 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals per game, while shooting 60 percent from the floor.
