Stay Healthy-Participate in JBU’s Free Community Health Fair
Siloam Springs, Ark (February 23, 2001) — The Health Sciences Division at John Brown University is holding its annual Community Health Fair on Thursday, March 8, 2001 between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the Library Lobby on the university campus.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of this full day of free health screenings and information booths. Local physicians, healthcare organizations and community agencies will be on hand to provide screenings and answers to important health questions.
The following includes some but not all of the resources which will be made available to the public free of charge: oral health, vision and hearing tests, cancer self exams and other information, organ donation, blood sugar and blood pressure tests, stress and depression management, disaster preparedness, CPR, First Aid, fitness testing, self defense, nutrition information, sport injuries, HIV/AIDS and rape awareness, drowsy driving and alcohol issues.
