Men put win streak on the line at OC
Siloam Springs, Arkansas (February 9, 2012) — The 15th-ranked Golden Eagles face Oklahoma Christian University on Thursday night at 8 p.m. on the road before coming back to the Bill George Arena to face Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday night at 5 p.m.
ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES: The Eagles are currently third in the Sooner Athletic Conference after two big wins last weekend against Southern Nazarene University (Oka.) and the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
Senior forward Adrian Miller is currently JBU’s leading scorer with 15.42 ppg followed by junior guard Coleson Rakestraw with 12.17 ppg. Senior forward Andy Garcia is leading the Eagles in rebounds with 7.18 rpg followed by Miller with 6.13 rpg. Miller was named SAC Player of the Week for the second week in a row. The team as a whole averages 78.50 ppg while holding their opponents to 65.29 ppg. JBU is currently first in the division in total defensive rebounds with 27.67 and in 3-point percentage with 42.9 percent.
ABOUT THE OC EAGLES: OC are currently fifth in conference and have a record of 15-8, 9-7 in the SAC and are coming off of a 89-74 win against Lubbock Christian (Texas). Junior center Will Reinke is their leading scorer and rebounder with 16.72 points per game and 9.89 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Kendre Talley is their second leading scorer with 11 points per game and junior guard Devan White is the second leading rebounder with 6 rebounds per game. As a team, OC averages 76.09 points per game while holding their opponents at 66.30.
